I greet each of your now in The Name Of Our Lord, The Christ.
I am sure many of you, if not all, have heard the slogan adopted by one of America’s safety advertisers; “Friends don’t let friends drive drunk”. Meaning, if you are a true friend who cares anything about someone you consider to be a friend, you would do all you can to keep them from driving, knowing the consequences and dangers of a drunk driver. You should realize that a drunk driver is not only a danger to him/her self, but to other innocent drivers, pedestrians, and passengers who share the same road.
So should it be with followers of Christ. We should not be okay with a friend or loved one living or dying without The Lord in their life. We should know that if they continue to live lost, that it is a strong possibility that they will also die lost. And as a friend, we should at the least tell them that Jesus Loves them. That He died to cover all our sins so that we might have Life Everlasting.
We should make it our Friends and Family’s business to plant The Salvation Seed. Who knows? It may actually take hold and turn their livers around.
Because Friends Don’t Let Friends (or Family) Die Lost!
